A Transitional Weekend

Over 200 people attended Richard Heinberg’s informative talk at the Northfield Ballroom about how the state of our economy is tied to the availability of cheap energy;  see this nice article about the talk at the Northfield News.  We followed that up with a community discussion, attended by about 30 people, this morning at the UCC church where we talked about our reactions to Richard’s message, how to move forward, and the features we see in a resilient Northfield. There is a picture from each event below.

We will continue the community discussion at a potluck dinner on Sunday December 5th at the Just Food Co-op Community Room from 4:00 to 6:30 pm.
