Community Exchange meeting: Feb. 1

Community Exchange meeting: Feb. 1

Have you ever wondered:

  • How can I meet more of my needs without using money?
  • How does a time bank differ from bartering?
  • Which of my skills might be useful in our community?

Transition Northfield is hosting a meeting about the Northfield Community Exchange next Saturday, February 1 from 9 AM to Noon  at * NEW LOCATION * The Contented Cow, 302B Division St. South, Northfield.

The meeting is open both to the public, to find out more about the Community Exchange, and to current members of the Exchange, to meet each other and perhaps arrange some exchanges.

During the meeting, we’ll have time to meet and greet each other (with snacks provided), brainstorm about what kinds of services and homemade goods can be exchanged, a brief presentation on what the Community Exchange is and how the software works, as well as a chance for members to update their Community Exchange web site account or for newcomers to set up an account (there’s a one-time-only $10 administrative setup fee).
Did I mention that there will be free food and coffee available?
If you are unable to attend this meeting, more information about the Community Exchange (and a sign up form) is available on this web site under the “community exchange” menu.
We hope to see you on Saturday morning!
